Sydney Guerrette, founder of Be The Change Youth Initiative (BTCYI), is a 17-year-old from Portland, Maine. She spends much of her free time writing music and helping lead worship at Summit Community Church. Sydney loves sharing BTCYI with kids around the United States and is involved in every aspect of the organization. She has traveled to Haiti with Hands & Feet Project and to Rwanda with Africa New Life. Sydney is passionate about empowering children to find their voice when it comes to helping those in need. Emma Doyon is our Creative/Artistic Designer. She has created all of the t-shirt designs for BTCYI and our Global Impact Partners. Emma is a 19-year-old sophomore at the University of Southern Maine. On top of being an incredible artist, Emma has a talent for photography and serves in the youth ministry at her church.
Rachel Morse is a 17-year-old junior at Falmouth High School in Falmouth, Maine. She participated in Sydney’s first fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Maine grant, which started it all. Rachel loves working with high school students and is the Student Ambassador Coordinator while also running her own school bible study and sometimes leading worship. In her free time Rachel enjoys baking, taking pictures, or just jamming out to some good music. She is thrilled to be able to use her passion for high school ministries through Be The Change!
Caleb Howell is an 18-year-old freshman at the University of Southern Maine and our resident comedian. Sydney and Caleb first performed together during a Christmas Eve service in 2014. Since then, they have led worship together at various churches and have shared the Music Behind the Movement of Be The Change Youth Initiative in several venues. Caleb has a true gift for instrumental arrangement and is quite accomplished on numerous instruments. He also has an affinity for organs and is known for traveling hours to acquire them. The current count is five, but it's growing.
Brandon Dith-Berry passionately and creatively produces the BTCYI videos. At only age 19, he professionally designs logos & graphics, develops websites, produces videos, and takes photos for clients across the country. In his free time, he leads worship for various worship events and produces indie electronic, singer/songwriter music. His desire is to use his God given skills to support organizations such as BTCYI. Kiersten Bennett is a 15 year old homeschooled sophomore. She is also our resident photographer. Kiersten comes from a family with six kids and loves Jesus. She enjoys learning about photography and has been mentored by a family friend who is a photographer. Kiersten also enjoys floral arranging, organizing, and is thankful for the opportunity to use the gifts God has given her to help Be the Change Youth Initiative.
